Obradović recently left Partizan in the middle of the season, and it is still unclear who will replace him as head coach.

Meanwhile, Sindjelić, a Partizan junior during the season when the team became European champions, spoke on the topic. His connection with Obradović spans several decades, and he recently hosted Obradović and other former teammates from the Belgrade team, including Djordjević.

“It’s no secret, Željko’s wish was for Sale to take over. He’s the only one with the energy to keep the crowd at that level,” Sindjelić said during an appearance on the “Jao Mile” podcast.

Djordjević played for Partizan from 1983 to 1992 but has never been the team’s head coach. Recently, he won a B92.sport poll with 50.56% of the votes.

So far, he has served as the head coach of Serbia and China’s national teams, and at the club level has led Olimpija, Benetton, Panathinaikos, Bayern Munich, Virtus, and Fenerbahçe.
