Stojković appeared as a guest on the podcast 'Super Indirektno,' where he mostly spoke about the hot topic — Željko Obradović’s resignation as Partizan’s head coach.

Given that he wore the black-and-white jersey in the famous 1992 season, the year after winning the then-EuroLeague, it is clear why Stojković was asked about such sensitive matters.

'I think it’s not final yet,' the former shooter said about Obradović’s resignation and continued: 'This is good for all of us who support Partizan. The outcome is yet to come; this is the information I have, and we are expecting tomorrow (Tuesday, editor’s note) that Željko will probably address it.'

He was then asked by the host how reliable his information was.

'Well, it’s reliable (laughs). It’s reliable, I can’t talk about it. I think a lot will become clear tomorrow, and many things will be resolved,' added Obradović’s former player."

Partizan’s first game without Obradović will be played at home against Bayern on Thursday, and some fans have announced plans to create chaos.

'The fans’ reaction against Bayern? First, I need to see who will be on the bench. Well, it doesn’t have to be anyone, that’s for sure. But if it’s not Željko… The only solution, to calm the passions for Partizan and the fans, could be the option of — hypothetically — Dule Vujošević or Sale Djordjević, who made the three-pointer, to continue the legacy after Željko Obradović. This is just what I think and what the fans would most easily accept after Željko, but if Željko says he won’t… We hope he will say something tomorrow. I think only Sale and Dule could act as a buffer for this,' Stojković emphasized.

Stojković spent one season under Obradović’s guidance in the black-and-white jersey and recalled that period.

'I am a former Partizan player, and I would most of all love for Željko to stay. This love, waiting at the airport — I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. This situation is not normal; this is Željko Obradović — one of a kind. There aren’t ten of them. What’s wrong with wanting Željko to stay?' he concluded.
