Firefighting and rescue crews are still battling wildfires at multiple locations across Serbia. The most critical situation is in Ibar Gorge, where fires are burning from Maglič to Polumir, as well as in the Žaračke Mountains above Ušće and in area above Seoce

According to media reports, members of the Novi Sad Fire and Rescue Brigade have been deployed to assist firefighting efforts in the Deliblato Sands.

Members of Serbia’s Emergency Situations Sector and the Ministry of the Interior’s Helicopter Unit, who were deployed to Spain to assist in firefighting operations, will head to the Deliblato Sands today to help extinguish the wildfire there, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said.
He added that the commander of the Helicopter Unit, Nenad Nedić, and the head of the Emergency Situations Sector, Luka Čaušić, will also be deployed to the Deliblato Sands, traveling in the helicopter that was used during the mission in Spain.

Members of the Emergency Situations Sector who have returned from Spain, where they assisted in firefighting operations, are heading to the Deliblato Sands today to help tackle a major wildfire there, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said.
