Severe storm hits Belgrade: Heavy downpour floods streets; Temperature drops by five degrees VIDEO
A strong convective cloud system that moved from the areas of southern Bačka and Srem towards central parts of Serbia reached Belgrade, bringing heavy rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.
Warning for heavy showers during the day
The Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia (RHMZ) has warned that intense showers accompanied by thunderstorms, strong wind gusts, and, in some areas, brief occurrences of sleet and hail are possible during the day.
Cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms that has affected northern, western, and southwestern parts of Serbia will spread to other areas during the morning, according to RHMZ.
In the afternoon, dry weather with sunny intervals is expected in Vojvodina.
A weak to moderate wind will blow, while around midday and in the afternoon in Vojvodina, eastern Serbia, and in areas affected by showers, it will occasionally be strong, coming from the northwest.
The highest temperature will range from 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.
