Warning issued for Serbian citizens: Heavy rain on the way?
The State Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a warning today for Serbia due to severe weather conditions, while a separate alert has been issued for Belgrade regarding locally heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms.
“Today will be changeable and unstable, with showers and thunderstorms that may be locally more intense, along with a short-term occurrence of hail and strong, storm-force winds,” the warning for the entire territory of Serbia states, as published on the website of the Republic Hydrometeorological Service (RHMZ).
The warning for Belgrade states that locally heavy showers with thunderstorms are expected today in some parts of the city, along with short-term strong and storm-force northwesterly winds.
In its hydrological warning, the Republic Hydrometeorological Service (RHMZ) also states that elevated water levels are expected on the Danube at Bezdan and downstream from Novi Sad, as well as on the Sava River.
