A mostly clear and cold evening lies ahead of us.
“During the evening and night it will be mostly clear and cold. The wind will be light to moderate, and strong in the Lower Danube region and in the mountains of eastern Serbia, blowing from the east and southeast,” the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia (RHMZ) announced.
Weather in the coming days
On Tuesday morning, most parts of the country will be clear with moderate to severe frost. Fog and low cloudiness are mainly expected in northern Vojvodina and eastern Serbia, where they may locally persist longer during the morning.
“During the day it will be sunny but cold. The wind will be light to moderate, and occasionally strong in the Košava wind area and in the mountains, from the southeast. Minimum temperatures will range from –13 to –5°C, and maximum temperatures from –2 to 6°C. During the night toward Wednesday, moderate cloudiness will spread from the south, which may only in a few places (as a very rare occurrence) cause light flurries of snow,” RHMZ stated.
In the second half of the week, morning frosts will gradually weaken, accompanied by a rise in daytime temperatures.
“Precipitation will be weak, sporadic, and local, on the boundary between rain and snow, but in areas with precipitation—especially in the evening, night, and morning hours—caution is advised due to the risk of icy surfaces. In the Pomoravlje and Podunavlje regions, occasional moderate to strong Košava winds are expected.”
RHMZ issues a hydrological warning
On the Tisa River near Senta, ice drift has been observed across 50% of the river’s width.
On the Tamiš River near Jaša Tomić, stationary ice has been observed across 30% of the river’s width.
On the Danube, from Bezdan to Novi Sad, water levels will move around and slightly below low navigation levels in the coming days.
