Belgrade "gridlocked" by holiday traffic; Bridges at a standstill PHOTO
Traffic congestion hit drivers in the Serbian capital again this Friday, with motorists “trapped” on nearly all major traffic arteries in Belgrade.
Heavy congestion was recorded this afternoon on the Gazela Bridge, in the direction toward Autokomanda.
The situation is no better on Branko’s Bridge either, where traffic is rather heavy in the direction toward Zeleni Venac.
There is also heavy congestion on the Pančevo Bridge, in the direction toward the city.
In addition to Belgrade’s bridges, a large number of vehicles has been observed at Autokomanda, as well as on the highway heading toward Niš.

There is also a higher volume of vehicles near Vuk’s Monument, as well as on Nemanjina Street, where cars are crawling toward the Slavija roundabout, which surprisingly remains passable in the afternoon hours.
The congestion this afternoon has also affected the Blue Bridge, where a large number of vehicles has been recorded heading toward Zvezdara.
Additionally, traffic is crawling on Altina, in the direction of the Pupin Bridge.
