MIA issued an appeal; The fine goes up to one million dinars VIDEO
Bearing in mind that we are facing a period of very warm and dry weather that favors the occurrence and spread of fires in open spaces, the Ministry of Interior appeals to fellow citizens not to burn small debris, grass and low vegetation.
They also appealed to citizens not to light fires in the forest and at a distance of 200 meters from the edge of the forest.
The MIA appealed to the consequences of the fire and showed what was left after the fiery element that engulfed parts of Serbia. The earth is completely burnt, only cinders are visible, and there is nothing left of the greenery. As they claim, it is the result of unscrupulous citizens.
"We once again appeal to all fellow citizens not to light or use open flames when temperatures are high. It is forbidden to burn small remains of grass and low vegetation, to light fires in the forest and at a distance of 200 meters from the edge of the forest," the MIA stated on its official Instagram profile.
For non-compliance with these provisions, the law stipulates a fine for natural persons from 10,000 to 50,000 dinars, and for legal entities from 300,000 to one million dinars.
Members of the Department for Emergency Situations will, in the coming period, carry out increased surveillance and field visits in order to find irresponsible citizens and sanction them.
