Drama on the Ibar highway: An armed man threatens suicide; Traffic suspended PHOTO/VIDEO
The real drama takes place this morning on the Ibar highway at the turn for Ripanj.
"A man in the middle of Ibar highway is threatening to kill himself, a large number of police, but also an ambulance team is there. The negotiation team is currently talking to him," according to the Instagram profile of moj_beo_grad.
Unofficially, he has a weapon with him.
"The executors came to the man to evict him from his building. He bought that building a long time ago, but it turned out later that the man was a fraud and that he had previously sold the plot, and now the owner has appeared. The man is not guilty of anything, he has invested and worked there for years and now they want to evict him," it is said in the statement.
Traffic is currently suspended.
"The situation is still unchanged, people are returning from the highway and going through Sremčica", the announcement states.
As reported by the Belgrade media, the drama on Ibar highway has been going on since 8 o'clock this morning, since the man Ž.C. (65) ran out onto the road and put a gun to his forehead, threatening to kill himself. He stopped the car, took the gun and stood in the middle of the road.
Apparently, according to eyewitnesses, the man mentions the executors while holding a gun to his forehead.
