Plane crashes in Croatia; Unconfirmed reports: Casualties reported

According to Jutarnji list, the aircraft crashed in the Campanož area, near the sports airfield in Medulin, in Istria.

The emergency call was received at 11:18 a.m., after which all emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene.

“At 11:18 a.m. on June 4, a report was received about the crash of a small aircraft in the Campanož area, near Medulin airport. The report has been confirmed, and all emergency services, police, ambulance, and firefighters are on site taking measures and actions within their jurisdiction,” the Pula Police Department reported.

Index reports that multiple people were killed in the plane crash, and that this was confirmed by the Istrian police, while unofficial information suggests that four people have died and that two others are still being searched for.

According to unofficial information, the victims are foreign nationals.

Index also reports that the aircraft had taken off from Germany, and that, based on currently available information, the flight had not been announced in Croatia.

The plane reportedly broke in half upon impact.
