Dodik pointed out at the very beginning that this was purely a political decision and that this was nothing unexpected.

"According to the Dayton Agreement, there is neither a prosecutor's office nor a constitutional court. We saw that the fact that the decree that I signed was signed before even those decisions came into force is not respected. This is a purely political decision, a political will. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a political court, and it decided to influence political life. They canceled the fourth mandate and gave it to someone who was born in a kinder egg. So the delegates are elected only by the National Assembly, not by election in kinder eggs! It is obvious that the intention of political Sarajevo has led to this," he said, adding:

"The bottom line is that Christian Schmidt said that anyone who disrespects him will end up in prison. If we accept that, it's only a matter of days when all these people will be on the agenda here. This is an attack on Republika Srpska! I did not commit any criminal offense prescribed by law, and I do not accept this criminal offense prescribed by Schmidt".

He said that the European Union stands behind the attack on him, as that alliance is looking for any victory in light of the fact that they are suffering defeats from Ukraine on the issue of tariffs.

"The political will of the powerful. I will listen to what the people say. I have not committed any criminal act, and you are charging me because Schmidt doesn't like me. This only serves to eliminate Republika Srpska, and that will not stop, no matter what I do. It is obvious that a new dualism has been created between the RS and BiH. That there cannot be even minimal acceptance of the above institutions, and that foreigners can comfortably turn off their phones when it comes to talking to us. I personally reject them, and I advise my associates. We will be careful how we move, we are not left without alternatives", pointed out Milorad Dodik.

In his speech, he pointed out that the judges who passed the verdict were Muslims.

"They want to eliminate me politically, even though they know that the judgment can be overturned very easily in the higher courts for human rights. I call on the people to remain calm, to rally around the Republika Srpska. I thank the PDP, which said that they will not participate in the elections if they are called. I say that the elections will not be held while I am the president. I also ask that the police be engaged and that they do not allow any voting, so they can vote outside the Republika Srpska."

He also pointed out that the RS must retaliate, and that a great danger looms over the Serbian entity and that he expects the support of Serbia.

"I expect support from Serbia, I will appeal for support from Russia, we will also write letters to the new US administration. This has to do with Muslim efforts to dominate Bosnia and Herzegovina. To the Serbs in the RS, let me say that if you do not come to your senses in five years, you will experience an exodus," said Dodik and added:

"Our greatest strength is coming together. After six years, when I return to take part in the elections, I will come with a different platform. But I hope that by then there will be no BiH, at least no court and prosecutor's office."

Let us remind you that Dodik's address was scheduled after it was confirmed that the Appellate Chamber of the unconstitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected the appeal of his defense and confirmed the first-instance verdict by which he was sentenced to one year in prison and banned from political activity for six years.

Bubic: We were informed by phone

At the press conference, lawyer Goran Bubić spoke first.

"Around 11 a.m., we were informed by phone that the verdict was confirmed and that the appeals were rejected," he said and added:

"We expected justice, unfortunately we got a non-justice. The president's legal team will continue with the available legal means, and we will ask for a temporary measure to postpone the execution of the verdict until the decision of the Constitutional Court," he said.

 

Cvijanović: The process is politically motivated

Then Željka Cvijanović spoke, who said that the process was politically motivated from the beginning.

"What I want to say is that we have a solution," she said, adding that there are still many political battles ahead.

Stevandić: They won't catch us nervous or unprepared

The President of the RS Assembly, Nenad Stevandic, said that "we will not be caught nervous or unprepared".

"Until now, they have abused our concern to preserve peace, and this shows once again that they do not care about peace. This verdict is a way to cause conflicts in BiH, but we are smart enough to win. We have no need to show in advance what we know and can do, and we are sure that we have the people on our side. The institutions and the people think the same, and our every action will be victorious," said Stevandić.
