The commemoration of the victims of Bosniaks, in the Memorial Center in Potočari, marks 30 years since the crime in Srebrenica.

The traditional "March of Peace", which honors the victims of Srebrenica, is being held this year as well.

The Hague Tribunal for War Crimes in the former SFRY and courts in BiH, Serbia and Croatia have so far sentenced 47 people to more than 700 years in prison for crimes committed in July 1995.

Former VRS commander Ratko Mladić was sentenced to life imprisonment by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, as was former Republika Srpska President Radovan Karadžić.

In 2009, the European Parliament adopted the Resolution on Srebrenica, which called on the EU member states and the countries of the Western Balkans to mark July 11 as a day of remembrance for the crime in Srebrenica.

In May of last year, the UN General Assembly in New York adopted a resolution on Srebrenica, which was strongly opposed by Belgrade in the UN General Assembly. The resolution was adopted with 84 votes "for", 19 "against" and 68 abstentions.

A day after the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of the Bosniaks is marked in Potočari, a memorial service will be held in Zalazje for the Serbs killed on St. Peter's Day in Srebrenica in 1992.
