Missing plane that took off near Zagreb; Urgent search launched
This morning, a little after 8:00 a.m., a small plane disappeared from the radar in the area of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the search is hampered by weather conditions.

Contact with the plane was lost in the Velika Planina area, where the police and other rescue services are conducting activities.
The plane was supposed to begin its spiral descent from a height of 2,500 meters. According to the police, a search operation is currently underway, reports 24ur.com.
The Mountain Rescue Service has confirmed that a search is underway in which rescuers from the GS S Kamnik unit are participating. Currently, there is no information about the possible crash of the plane - the only thing known is that it disappeared from the radar.
As the Police Administration (PU) Ljubljana announced, around 9:30 a.m. they received a notification that the communication of a smaller plane with air traffic control was interrupted.
"Contact with the plane is currently lost for an unknown reason in the area of Velika Planina, where the police and other rescue services are currently undertaking activities. The search is difficult due to extremely bad weather conditions and low visibility, which also makes it difficult for the helicopter of the rescue services to fly," the statement said.
According to data from the Flightradar24 portal, a small plane of the "Mooney Ovation M20R" type, which took off from Zagreb, has disappeared.
The Slovenian portal 24.ur writes that it is an aircraft with American registrations that began its spiral descent from a height of 2.5 kilometers.
According to the first information, there was one person on the plane, reports the local portal Kamnik.info. In addition to the police and firefighters, mountain rescuers from Kamnik and Celje are also participating in the search.
