The prosecution also requested the same punishment for acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić.

Prosecutor Nedim Ćosić said during his closing arguments that they were guilty because they did not respect the decisions of the illegitimate high representative Christian Schmidt.

He added that "Dodik admitted it himself" when he said during his testimony that he did not respect Schmidt's decisions because he acted in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Srpska.

"There are no mitigating circumstances. The acts were committed with intent, aware of the consequences. It goes without saying that they were not convicted before, and that cannot be treated as a mitigating circumstance," Cosic said.

Referring to the arguments of the defense, the Prosecution stated "that the arguments about Schmidt's illegitimacy are unfounded", as well as the arguments that "Schmidt does not have the authority to change laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

He stated which two decisions they did not comply with, namely that the President of Republika Srpska and the acting director of the "Official Herald", knowingly and knowing that Schmidt made a decision preventing the entry into force of the Law on non-application of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, undertook official actions in order to continue the legislative procedure.

Dodik and Lukić were accused of "disrespecting the decision" of Christian Schmidt, who is not recognized as a high representative in Republika Srpska, because he was not appointed to the UN Security Council as stipulated by Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

After the closing arguments of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the closing arguments of the defense and the defendants follow.

Dodik and his lawyer Goran Bubić asked for two hours for the closing arguments, while Miljkan Pucar, the lawyer of the accused Lukić, asked for an hour and a half.
