Vučić hosts children from Kosovo: "Serbia is always with you, you'll never be alone" VIDEO
President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, spoke with elementary school students from Kosovo and Metohija.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić thanked the children from Kosovo and Metohija who came to Belgrade.
"Dear children from all parts of Kosovo and Metohija, our Serbia, welcome to another part of our Serbia. Thank you for joining us today on the 20th anniversary of the terrible pogrom," said Vučić.
"Thank you for having trust in your teachers and to the teachers for educating you. Thank you all from Metohija who are here just a few days after the terror against your elders. Thank you also from Banjska, which they are trying to make a place of evil," said the president Serbia.
"Welcome, dear children. I am glad that you had the opportunity to make new friends in Belgrade. I wish you to live in Kosovo for a long time with your families and to come often to your Belgrade. This day, which we will end with the Formal Academy at 6 p.m., began in the most beautiful way, with the children. I want your biggest pain to be whether Red Star or Partizan will win and the grades you get in history and in Serbian," said Vučić and added: "Serbia is always with you, you will never be alone".
Andjela Milošević, a seventh-grade student at Banović Strahinja Elementary School in Banjska, stated that her peers live in fear. "My peers and I do not have a happy childhood, because we live in fear". She presented the President of Serbia with pictures of her peers and thanked him for taking care of children from Kosovo and Metohija.
President Vučić reciprocated the children with gifts. Vučić hosted elementary school students from Kosovo and Metohija in the "Serbia" Palace.
About a hundred schoolchildren from Osojane, Goraždevac, the villages of Banja, Banjska, Štrpce, Vitina, Novo Brdo, Gnjilane and Kosovska Kamenica are staying in Belgrade this weekend, organized by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija. Accompanied by their teachers, they arrived in the capital yesterday, visited some of the sights of the capital, among other things, they visited the Zoo in the company of the president of the Office for the Ministry of Culture and Science, Petar Petković.
