Let us recall that the leaders of Italy, Germany and France sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Pristina's temporary institutions, Albin Kurti, in which they informed him that Pristina did not meet the requirements of the international community for membership in the Council of Europe. As stated in the message to Pristina, "not a single step has been taken towards the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities".

Moreover, those countries invited the government in Pristina to consider sending the draft statute of the CSM to the so-called Constitutional Court of Kosovo.

"Italy, France and Germany have told Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti that he must make 'decisive progress' in implementing previous agreements or they will not support their application for the Council of Europe."

Grenell singled out Italy, France and Germany as countries that "finally acted".

"It is important to note that the Trump administration made this request to Kurti four years ago - and was criticized by the Europeans for it," he wrote.
