The condition of Ivica Dačić is known – Dr Popević spoke out: 'It is a serious clinical picture'

Due to bilateral pneumonia, the Minister of Internal Affairs and president of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Ivica Dačić, was urgently hospitalized yesterday at the Pulmonology Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Serbia. He is in serious condition, intubated, and on a ventilator.

Doctors assess his health as serious but more stable compared to the previous night.

Dačić remains under constant medical supervision, and all necessary therapeutic measures are being applied.

“The patient is currently in a more stable general condition, but it is still a serious clinical picture that requires intensive monitoring and treatment,” stated Dr Spasoje Popević, assistant director of the Pulmonology Clinic at the Clinical Center of Serbia, noting that it is still too early for a definitive prognosis, reports RTS.

Earlier today, Popević told Blic that the public will be regularly updated on Minister Ivica Dačić’s condition.

“We will provide updates in the morning and evening with new information about his condition. In short, it is serious, but thanks to the measures taken, his condition is stable,” the doctor told Blic.
