The delegation conveyed to Sørensen their deep concern over the ongoing violations of the basic rights of the Serbian people, the increasingly frequent arbitrary arrests, and the daily pressures to which Serbs are subjected across all parts of Kosovo and Metohija.

The Serb List emphasized that such occurrences are unacceptable and constitute a serious obstacle to building trust and normalizing relations. The party called on representatives of the international community to demonstrate, through concrete actions, their commitment to protecting the human rights and freedoms of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, the statement said.

The meeting also covered the current political and security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the recently held elections.

The Serb List delegation expressed the expectation that, following the announcement of the final election results, the normal functioning of municipalities—especially in the north—will be ensured without obstruction from Pristina, the statement added.
