Vučić met with Xi Jinping in Beijing: Steel Friendship between Serbia and China PHOTO
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, met today with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, in Beijing.
"I expressed my gratitude to the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping for the warm welcome, exceptional hospitality, sincere friendship and support that China continuously provides to our people and our country.
Serbia and China are iron friends. We perceive China as a sincere and reliable partner, and President Xi was with us when it was most difficult for us, in economic, medical and health, but also in political terms. Serbia can never and will never forget that.
I also showed gratitude for the fact that, thanks to President Xi's initiatives and the Free Trade Agreement, our trade exchange has never been greater. I also informed him about the progress of infrastructure projects, which we are working on with the help of Chinese partners, including the fact that the Belgrade-Budapest international railway will be opened for traffic in 15 days.
I especially thanked President Xi for all the investments of Chinese companies in Serbia, for the large investments that have already been made, and sent an invitation for new investments in the future," said President Vučić on Instagram.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Serbian delegation, Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarević, Minister without Portfolio for International Economic Cooperation and Social Position of the Church in the country and abroad Nenad Popović, Assistant Minister of Defense for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović and President of the National Council for Coordination with the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić.
