MPs continued the discussion at the extraordinary session
Today, the members of the Serbian Parliament continued the joint discussion on 46 points at an extraordinary session, the agenda of which includes, among others, three media laws, as well as proposals for the Alimony Fund Law and the Air Protection Law.
The session is attended by 112 MPs, and as previously announced, MPs from the NADA coalition do not participate in the work. During yesterday's joint discussion, MPs paid the most attention to the set of media laws, the Alimony Fund law, and the law on subsidized loans for young people.
On the agenda of the extraordinary session is also a proposal to amend the Law on establishing a guarantee scheme and subsidizing part of the interest as a measure to support young people in purchasing their first residential real estate. Among the media laws are amendments to the Law on Electronic Media, amendments to the Law on Public Media Broadcasters, as well as to the Law on Public Information and Media.
MPs should also consider the annual reports of the Protector of Citizens Ombudsman, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and the Protection of Personal Data, and the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024.
MPs are expected to consider reports on the work of the State Audit Institution, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the Fiscal Council and the State Aid Control Commission for the year 2024, as well as several interstate agreements.
Also on the agenda is the Proposal for a conclusion regarding the presentation of the European Commission's Report on Serbia for 2024, the proposal for a decision on the termination of the position of the President of the Council of the State Audit Institution and the election of a new one, as well as consideration of the list of candidates for the election of the President of the State Aid Control Commission.
MPs will also consider the proposal to elect MP Dunja Simonović Bratić as the vice-president of the Assembly.
