The plane of the Government of Serbia carrying the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, took off from Baku to Moscow at around 14:10 Serbian time.

According to the Flyfhtradar website, the state plane is heading for Moscow.

Let us remind you that today Aleksandar Vučić left for the announced visit to Moscow, where he is supposed to meet with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, but the plane he was flying had to make an emergency landing in Azerbaijan due to the war in Ukraine and the actions of combat assets in the airspace.

The plane of the President of Serbia could not go further to the territory of Russia due to security risks - including the effects of air defense systems and the possibility of intercepting the plane in the conflict zone.

At this moment, Moscow airports are also closed.

In other news, Ukraine attacked Moscow with drones for a third day on Wednesday, forcing most airports in the Russian capital to close just as Chinese President Xi Jinping was due to arrive to mark victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.

In the past few days, airports in several Russian cities were closed due to attacks by Ukrainian drones.

Let's recall that it was previously planned that the President of Serbia will have a bilateral meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, which was also announced by the Kremlin.

According to Sputnik, it is not known which air corridor Vučić took to the Russian capital.

On May 9, Russia commemorates the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism in World War II with a parade on Red Square in Moscow and a series of other events. More than 20 world leaders are expected to attend.
