Oil prices rise again: Surpass $115 per barrel
Oil prices surpassed $115 per barrel at the opening of Asian markets today, as airstrikes continue across countries in the Middle East, just over a month after the start of the war in Iran.
The price of Brent crude oil stands at $115.84, an increase of 2.9 percent compared to Friday’s price, BBC reports.
Oil prices stood at around $72 per barrel before February 28, when U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran began.
Last week, Brent crude reached a peak of $118 per barrel on March 19, and since Friday afternoon it had been slightly below $112—significantly higher compared to pre-war levels.
