Vučić: We have an agreement on extending the gas arrangement

"We have an agreement to extend gas supply for another three months, so people don’t have to worry about whether there will be enough heating and energy during the winter," Vučić told the media after presenting employment contracts to the top graduates of medical faculties and schools.

"We have information that Gazprom is also in talks with, among others, Hungarian MOL, and that’s all fine. You have to keep in mind that we have no problems with secondary sanctions; we cannot import 6,000 tons of diesel per day, which is what we consume. We have been managing this for exactly 75 days today, and I am proud of that," he added.

Then he stated in which ways Serbia has shown success: from the increase of pensions to the low rate of public debt.

"The good news is certainly the highest pensions in history, of 12.2 percent, which will increase the standard of the oldest citizens. I am convinced that it will be the same next year and that our pensioners will be satisfied. The good news is that there will be no problems with gas. Serbia has a lower rate of public debt than 90 percent of EU countries, I just want everyone to know that Serbia is far more successful than many think," said Vučić.

Regarding the nationalization of NIS, he said that we should wait for January 15.

"We will wait for the last moment, but even then we will not steal, we will buy, said Vučić about the nationalization of NIS. We are waiting for the Russians to finish their part of the work, we hope that they will finish it by January 15, but then we will look to pay for it, if necessary, beyond what it is worth," said Vučić.
