End of visit: Investment potentials presented; Vučić spoke with representatives of the Toyo Tires Company
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, attended today in Tokyo a presentation where the investment potential of our country was presented to Japanese businessmen. Serbia in the spotlight in Japan.
Representatives of numerous Japanese companies were present, as well as Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarević, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež, Director of the Office for IT and e-Government Mihailo Jovanović, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Bela Balint, Ambassador of Serbia to Japan Aleksandra Kovač and Advisor to the President for Investments Danilo Cicmil.
Vučić met with representatives of Toyo Tires in Tokyo
Aleksandar Vučić also met with the management of the Toyo Tires company, with whom he discussed the past cooperation and ways to strengthen their presence in Serbia.
He announced on his Instagram profile: "They showed confidence in our country"
Vučić, on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav", stated that the company invested a lot of effort in joint projects, not only in the form of capital and jobs, but also knowledge, courage and special dedication.
"By investing in their factory in Indjija, the first Toyo production in Europe, they showed their trust in our country. We also discussed the development of a research and development center and the possible expansion of capacity, in order to jointly respond to the demand on the European and especially the American market, despite the challenges brought by new trade barriers," stated Vučić.
As he added, Serbia will do everything to ensure stable business conditions and predictable access to key markets.
The President stated that before the end of his visit to Japan, he presented Serbia's investment potential to Japanese partners.
He pointed out that Serbia is a reliable and competitive host for large industrial and technological projects.
"We can boast of an educated and motivated workforce, modern infrastructure, incentives that accompany production and development, as well as access to large markets through free trade agreements. In the year behind us, we recorded a record inflow of foreign direct investments, which confirms that investors recognize the stability and clear economic policy of our country," stated Vučić.
As he added, more than 30 Japanese companies from the automotive, electrical and manufacturing industries are operating in Serbia today.
"We want that number to be even higher," he emphasized.
He expressed his gratitude to Japanese friends for their trust and partnership.
"Serbia is ready to be your European base for the production, development and export of high-value products. We will continue to improve business conditions, protect access to markets and build long-term relationships that benefit both our people and investors," said Vučić.
