"A very important and substantive conversation with Prime Minister Ishiba. This meeting has far-reaching significance for the future of relations between our two countries, as it concerns the key issues of political dialogue, economic development and cooperation in areas that are of vital importance to the citizens of Serbia.

We talked about strengthening political ties and mutual support on the international level, but also about concrete opportunities for increasing Japanese investments in Serbia. Special emphasis was placed on the modernization of the economy, as well as on the exchange of experiences in the field of technology, innovation and environmental protection. Japan, as one of the most developed and organized societies in the world, is an example for Serbia of how a successful and strong country can be built with dedication, responsibility and discipline.

I am sure that the results of this meeting will contribute to the creation of new jobs, economic growth and the strengthening of the economic stability of our country. Serbia will continue to build relations with Japan on the basis of mutual trust and respect, and this conversation with the prime minister is a step towards creating an even stronger and more comprehensive partnership between our countries," Vučić said on his Instagram account.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarevic, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Bela Balint, Director of the Office for IT and e-Government Mihailo Jovanović and President of the Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež.

Previously, President Vučić met with His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Naruhito and on that occasion pointed out that this meeting opens a new page in bilateral relations and sends a clear message that Serbia and Japan look to the future together.
