Iran hopes that it will soon start receiving Russian gas through Azerbaijan, because almost all issues with Gazprom will be resolved, said the Iranian ambassador in Moscow, Kazem Jalali, writes the TASS agency.

"We hope that it will happen soon. We are currently negotiating with Gazprom and almost all issues have been resolved. But we have to find a common language regarding the price. If that issue is also resolved, then everything will start to be implemented," he said.

Earlier, the Russian Minister of Energy, Sergey Tsivilyov, stated that the first deliveries of Russian gas to Iran via the existing infrastructure in Azerbaijan will begin in 2025, in the volume of up to 1.8 billion cubic meters per year.
