Vucic "won't comment on lamentations coming from Pristina"
Vucic stressed it was "important for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue to continue," and reiterated that "Serbia will not respond to the insults coming from Pristina with insults."Asked to comment "the reaction of some countries, Britain and the United States among them" - whose officials said they were disappointed by UNESCO's decision - Vucic said he was "sorry they are all so disappointed," and added, "I am not disappointed - at least not by the result (of the vote)."
"I am disappointed that they entered that whole procedure without asking or informing Serbia, and expecting a completely different outcome," he stated.
Vucic then said he would "not comment on the whining and the lamentations" coming from Pristina, "nor on them portraying themselves as the big victim - considering they did not wish to talk about protection of cultural heritage in Brussels, and even threatened they would say Belgrade was lying if it said this topic had been raised in Brussels."
"Well, what now? They were even certain they would humiliate us and trample on Serbia once again, and since that didn't happen, they are playing the victim," Vucic said, adding "Serbia will not respond with insults to insults, and finds it important that the dialogue continues."
"We were so disappointed by the whole action, the way it was conducted, that we cannot be disappointed with the way it ended," he said.
Vucic added that the fact "numerous European officials are also crying" represents "their policy," because they recognized Kosovo.
"What can I do, that's their policy, they recognized Kosovo's independence and are behaving in line with their policy. Serbia too will behave in line with its policy, and we will not recognize Kosovo's independence," said Vucic.
