  1. In other words, Kosova is getting its independence and KFOR will remain there to protect the Serb minority.

  3. well, what do you expect? the man can act UNILATERALLY as in IRAQ. the question is whether the big 5 of UNSC will act unanimously. Russia and China may pose a problem here as they dont want precedents for chechnya and taiwan.

  4. Bush needs to listen to the needs of the Hispanic majorities in California, Texas and Florida and allow their peaceful independence from the American Union.

  5. Woot, Kostunica dont blame others for your problems. Anyways, the US and EU will pay Russia and China and they will not veto. Kosovo will become independent, and the northern tip can go to Serbia. Then the remainder of Serbs in Kosovo move to Presevo and the Albanians in Presevo move to Kosovo.
Everybody happy and we can all move on.

  7. The Kosovars within are the ones that have a "say" not Bush, not Kostunica, not Putin or the Pope.

  8. Well, if Russia and China would be asked for Kosova, then Serbian military, paramilitary, etc, forces would be still in Kosova. Therefore, I predict the solution that Kosova will gain independence by the end of 2006, and that will be under EU monitoring and implementing bodies. The greatest EU mission for Kosova is planned, and they want to make sure not to loose reconstruction and development ("accession support") funds as it happened with sovereign countries and governments in Western Balkans and Southeastern Europe. Bush, President of USA, as previous presidents, including his father, just wants to make sure that such thing happens.

  9. What are you talking about that the Kosovars have a say. It's the will of what people? Just the Albanians? All citizens of Serbia need to vote on that referendum...it would be just like the Mexicans of Southern California or Texas voting unilateraly on seceding from the union.

  10. This I think clears everything out for those that were confused about Kosova's future.
It is a reality check for those that were day dreaming. Kosova will get an independence, let's all work on building a good neighboorship. Regards to all.

  11. Well I think Bush will tell Kostunica what needs to be done and if Kostunica is smart he will obey. Serbia is not in a bargaining position. Let's go separate ways and hopefully meet in EU in a decade or two. Peace

I totally agree with you, although I was meaning that USA is the world's Power, and therefore we need the blessing from them, the blessing that we have had from the beggining, and we, Kosovars appreciate very much!

  14. 90% of Kosovars have already made clear what they aspire, this was done in 1992. "Independence" it's just a matter of recognizing Kosovo as a Sovereign State, if this would have been done earlier we could have avoided bloodshed and expensive but just air campaigns.

  15. Bush would not get involved with Kosovo if he had not been asked to intervene and besides, there are numerous world leaders trying to determine the fate of Kosovo. What needs to be addressed is that if Kosovo does succeed with it's independence the result will be another Islamic state. All nation states which oppose terrorism should be extremely concerned with an Islamic Kosovo.

  19. Everyone knew that Kosova wil become an independent country since the war ended. Even serb politicians knew that but, they still led the serbian population live by dreams, dreams that now are changing into nightmares. I would highly suggest to the serbian people that you start living with the reality. As on proverb says " if you do not face the reality then the reality will face with you". Therefore since the serbs did not face the reality, now the reality is facing the serbs and see how much of a psycological suffering the random serbian population is having and this is all "thanks" to the serb politicians who wanted to keep the serb population with "dreams".
I understand that it is hard for the serbs to accept the reality, but please, you have to realize that Kosova is gone and now it can only be a neighboring country of Serbia.
You also have to realize that it is impossible that majority of the world is wrong and only serbs are right.
In this millennium we can not live with myths anymore, but with reality.
If possible i also must include and say that Kosova will not become an islamic terrorist country. It is a well known fact that during th 1990's it was the serb government who worked with Saddam Hussein and Gadhaffi and some other islamic leaders, the kosovar albanians always worked with the west. The result is clear, US and all other countries were in the side of Kosova, not in the side of Serbia.
Thanks and high respect for B92 for letting us express our opinions.

  21. This is a complete joke. As an American, I am disgusted by the idea that we are giving our blessing to Kosovo Albanians in stealing Serbian land. What's next? Inviting Governor Schwartenegger to the White House to give away my California home to Mexico?

  22. I'd like to respond to the comment which predicted that when Kosova becomes independent it will turn into an islamic state. I will say that one should look better to the REAL situation in Kosova (religion wise) and see that there are three religions among albanians which have never been a threat to each other and of course, they have never been a threat to its neighbours. What matters to the Albanians is nationality and not religious identification, so I'm sorry but Kosova WILL NOT be an islamic state. If you go to Berlin you would think that you're in the middle of Istanbul, but if you come to Prishtina you'd think that you're in L.A. or Chicago because you'd very rarely see a woman with a veil or men with enormous beards and taliban looks. Sorry to disappoint you, but we're headed west.
