NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg said Monday he was "looking forward” to working with America's incoming president Donald Trump and his administration.

NATO chief say he's "looking forward" to working with Trump

Stoltenberg revealed that Trump "assured America’s strong support for the alliance and the security of Europe during a phone call," the agency said.

During the conversation on Friday, Trump also "pointed out the importance of increased defense spending among European allies."

Stoltenberg "reminded that all members had pledged to dedicate two percent of their GDP to defense spending at the 2014 NATO summit in Wales," AP reported.
