The newspapers today focus on a serious incident during a Red Star game yesterday, and, predictably, the Kosovo issue. ALO – "Hooligans beat and set policeman on fire" is about the dramatic scenes in Belgrade yesterday when a group of hooligans brutally assaulted a police officer in the Red Star FC stadium, also known as the Marakana. Press: Stadium horror scenes, Kosovo "Monopolists set prices of milk at their convenience", announces yet another rise in the prices of milk in Serbia next January. "Sick children told they will die" reports about a state health fund leaflet that was delivered to the house addresses of diabetes patients. GLAS JAVNOSTI – "Continued talks, speedy solution", quotes Serbian Kosovo talks team adviser, Thomas Fleiner, who advocates more talks over the province's future status. DANAS – Hague Tribunal cooperation coordinator Rasim Ljajic is quoted on the front page, "We will present new findings on fugitives". "SC debate on Dec. 19" is about the Troika visit to Belgrade and the date for the envoys' report to be discussed at the UN. "Cedomir Jovanovic LDP presidential candidate", reports about yesterday's Liberal-Democrats' main board session decision. KURUR – "Kidnapped by authorities", the tabloid continues with a series of articles about Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic's abduction in 2001. POLITIKA – Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic is interviewed by the daily, and quoted in the headline, "Solving of Kosovo status continues after Dec. 10".
