Mufti supports Serbian government on Kosovo

BELGRADE Deputy Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Serbia and Mufti of Serbia Muhamed Jusufspahic has backed the Serbian government on the issue of Kosovo. This religious dignitary said on Monday that his support came as the government is making the difficult decisions that would have a long-lasting effect on the future of the country and its people. Mufti supports Serbian government on Kosovo "This is a moment when we have to stick together and support each other," Jusufspahic said in a letter to the government, which should make its decision on Monday regarding the offer from Brussels to solve the Kosovo issue. "We come to you at this difficult time when important decisions have to be made, which will have a long-term effect on the future of our people and country as a whole. We, the Islamic Community of Serbia, the Muslims of Serbia, as part of the people and being from the people, feel this difficult time in every way while wishing our country all the best," he stated. "We have to be together and as one, be supportive of each other, because we all lose or win," he noted. "We pray to our creator, our God, the one and only, to bless us and our country Serbia, to protect us from evil and guide us in the right direction, to give our government the wisdom and strength to find the best solution," Jusufspahic wrote.
