Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic has said he was not offered the prime minister's seat by the opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS). The same is true of the ruling Democratic Party (DS), he revealed. Dacic says big parties did not offer him premiership Dacic, who currently serves as one of deputy prime ministers and interior minister, and is allied in a post-elections coalition with the Democrats, was optimistic in an interview with the Belgrade-based tabloid Press: "I am the one who decides - it is in fact I who can offer the prime minister's seat to leaders of the DS or the SNS, if they support me in the second round of the presidential election." Asked if he expects the SNS to make such an offer to lure him away from the DS, Dacic, who is also a presidential candidate, said that there was "no need to deal in post-electoral calculations." "I am a candidate for prime minister of my party and the coalition formed around the SPS. I have not talked with anyone else about this. It is absolutely inappropriate to say who will team up with who after the election, until we see who gets how many votes and seats in parliament," said Dacic. Serbians will vote in parliamentary, local, and presidential elections on May 6. Ivica Dacic (Tanjug, file) Tanjug Press
