EC: Serbia has made progress

Visiting European Commission official Pierre Mirel said that Serbia has made progress in implementing reforms and fighting organized crime. Mirel, who is director for Western Balkans in European Commission’s DG Enlargement, also said that Belgrade has made progress in regional cooperation, but called on Serbia to offer a "constructive approach to the problem of customs in Kosovo". Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic, who had met with the EC official, stated afterwards that there were “open issues on the depth and speed of reforms” but that Serbia would continue to implement reforms and work on improving the living standard of all its citizens through European integration.
