Opposition MPs posed questions about Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic’s statements regarding the country's position toward Kosovo and EU integrations, employment of disabled persons and privatization. Question time in Serbian parliament Parliament is yet to start the debate in general on draft laws on Game and Hunting, and related to the confirmation of the International Convention for Protection of New Varieties of Plants, because opposition MPs were debating referring to the Rules of Procedure. They are saying that parliament cannot discuss these bills because the Agriculture Committee did not accept them during a meeting yesterday. Tody, chief of LDP parliamentary group Cedomir Jovanovic asked the government to comment on Jeremic's statements, which “conditioned the Serbian candidacy for membership in the EU by stating that if Serbia should chose between Kosovo and membership in the EU, Serbia would chose Kosovo.” Jovanovic said that that was not the official state policy and that LDP objected to the silence of Serbia’s officials, interpreting it as a “sign of compliance”. He added that Jeremic "often leads his own policy which is in conflict with the actions of the Serbian president and that it seems as though the government has two policies, one which was trying to win a part of the public for itself by flirting and sitting on two chairs and another that is trying to reform the country". Opposition New Serbia (NS) MP Aleksandra Jankovic asked the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy what was the percentage of employed persons with disabilities, since it was a legal obligation. Deputy chief of opposition DSS group Radojko Obradovic said that a debate on the development model of Serbia had been "open for days" and that it was still unknown what would happen to assets of large public and communal enterprises which had not been privatized. He asked Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic whether the government had made an analysis of the effects of privatizations so far, and if so, what it showed, and that the government's future plans were. Chief of opposition SRS Dragan Todorovic repeated his questions about the participation of Morgan Stanley in the privatization of tobacco manufacturer Duvanska Industrija, He also requested the list of assets owned by the former League of Communist of Yugoslavia, saying that it concerned more than 300 facilities, and said that he "suspected that this property was being robbed".
