SNS, govt. disagree on NBS policy

Serb Progressive Party (SNS) MP Jorgovanka Tabakovic says that there is a difference of opinion between the SNS and the government regarding the NBS’s policies. Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic met with SNS officials to discuss the measures the government would take to combat the world economic crisis. Tabakovic said that the talks with the prime minister had been frank and that both sides had shown a desire to do their utmost to ensure that the people of Serbia weathered the crisis. She said that the SNS had proposed to the prime minister a set of measures that includes a package of tax laws that go along with the budget, as well as the creation of a funds for helping industry.
