“Organ trade probe results to be published by year’s end”

Serbian Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric says the War Crimes Prosecution will publish organ trade investigation results by the end of the year. "We have made a huge step forward in the investigation, and we will be prepared, in agreement with the authorized bodies in Serbia, to publish those results," he stated at the panel on organ trafficking at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on Saturday. “Organ trade probe results to be published by year’s end” Vekaric said that the Serbian prosecution was ready to cooperate with EULEX, UNMIK and colleagues from Albania, who had already been offered to cooperate in 2005. “The prosecution is ready to disclose at least two locations believed to contain the earthly remains of the victims, and we request from other participants in the investigation to do the same,” the deputy war crimes prosecutor stressed. He underscored that the War Crimes Prosecution had raised 130 war crimes indictments, which gave it legitimacy to request an investigation into the crime that happened in Kosovo in 1999.
