Custody extended for ex-KLA

EULEX has extended police custody of one of the commanders of the former so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). The ethnic Albanian, identified as Sabit Geci, will remain in custody for another month, it was confirmed by the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX. Custody extended for ex-KLA The investigation against Geci includes possible abuse of individuals who were held captive in KLA-controlled locations in the north of Albania during 1998 and 1999. Suspicions against Geci, however, still do not refer to the organ trafficking case. EULEX police arrested Sabit Geci in his Prstina home on May 6 and he has since been held in custody.
