Serbian police (MUP) in Novi Pazar have two men in custody today for a hit-and-run that seriously injured a police officer. The incident happened last night when the policeman tried to pull over the vehicle with the two suspects inside. Two arrested for injuring policeman The driver had no license and was intoxicated, police said, while the car was not registered. The injured policeman is recovering and his wounds are not life threatening, it was also reported. The driver is now facing criminal charges that will include obstruction of official persons performing their duties, grave acts against traffic safety and failure to assist persons injured in a traffic accident, while the second suspect will be charged with aiding the driver.
