The families of the Srebrenica genocide victims say they will sue Hague Tribunal officials responsible for the destruction of articles found in mass graves.

The families of the Srebrenica genocide victims say they will sue Hague Tribunal officials responsible for the destruction of articles found in mass graves. The announcement comes after the Hague prosecution admitted that around 1,000 pieces of evidence linked to the genocide in Srebrenica had been destroyed. Amir Ahmic, the Hague’s Bosniak liaison office, said that he expected a detailed report on the destruction of artifacts that took place when Carla Del Ponte was still the tribunal’s chief prosecutor. He added that the Bosniak member of the Bosnian Presidency, Haris Silajdzic, had asked the Hague Tribunal to launch an investigation into why the documents had been destroyed.
