Two Kosovo Serbs are suspects in an incident that took place in the village of Zubce, near Kosovska Mitrovica. The pair, identified as N.K. and S.V., are suspected of pelting stones at a Kosovo police, KPS, traffic patrol, spokesman Besim Hoti said today. Serbs accused of stoning KPS Hoti told Beta that the incident took place last night when the suspects attacked the escort of a Lasta transport company bus carrying children from Osojane. Police officers had to use tear gas and batons against the pair, and call for assistance from the Zubin Potok station. Earlier reports said that the policemen were ethnic Albanians. N.K. and S.V. fled the scene on Sunday night. However, since they sought medical assistance in the meantime, the spokesman said that the KPS will have to investigate if its officers used excessive force.
