15 years since Štrpce kidnapping

Today marks 15 years since 19 Muslims were kidnapped at the Strpci train stop. The victims, passengers in a Belgrade-Bar train on February 27, 1993, were selected for their nationality, as the train was forced to stop in Strpce, a part of Bosnian territory. 15 years since Strpce kidnapping They were taken to the vicinity of Visegrad, in eastern Bosnia, to be tortured and murdered. The incident took place while the war was raging in that country, and Serb paramilitaries led by Milan Lukic were identified as perpetrators. The families of the victims will today meet with Prijepolje mayor Nedzad Turkovic. The anniversary will also be marked by performances and participation from a number of human rights NGOs.
