Austrians hopeful arbitration could be avoided

Alpine Holding Balkans coordinator Helena Aluta says there is still hope for an agreement on the cancelling of the Horgos-Pozega highway concession contract. The Austrian company expects that a deal could be reached with the Serbian government by December 20, and that arbitration will be avoided to the satisfaction of both sides, Belgrade's Vecernje Novosti daily reported on Wednesday. The company does not want to seek arbitration, but is offering an agreement to the Serbian government," the newspaper quoted her as saying.
