U.S. President Donald Trump said today that the framework agreement on Greenland, which he negotiated with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte in Davos, would involve the United States and European allies working together on the U.S. &ldquo;Golden Dome&rdquo; missile defense system and &ldquo;mineral rights&rdquo; on Greenland.&ldquo;They will be involved in the Golden Dome and will be involved in mineral rights, just like us,&rdquo; Trump said in an interview with CBS. Asked how long the agreement would last, he replied, &ldquo;forever.&rdquo;Trump reiterated that he abandoned plans to impose punitive tariffs on European countries opposing his Greenland plans because he reached a &ldquo;framework agreement&rdquo; regarding the island.&ldquo;We have a framework agreement. I think it will be a very good deal for the United States, and also for them. It&rsquo;s a little complicated, but we&rsquo;ll explain it later. But the NATO Secretary-General, myself, and a few others have talked,&rdquo; Trump said.Earlier, in a post on Truth Social, Trump said that he and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte &ldquo;formed the framework for a future agreement regarding Greenland&rdquo; and that he will not implement the tariffs he had announced for certain European countries.
