The Hague court has canceled all hearings for November and December in the 'Thaçi and others' case

&quot;After the conclusion of the status conference, we inform that all hearings previously scheduled for November and December in the Tha&ccedil;i and Others case have been canceled and removed from the court calendar. As stated during the status conference, the trial panel intends to make a decision this week on the next steps in this case,&quot; the Kosovo Specialist Chambers said in a statement on their website.On Tuesday, the examination of the defense&rsquo;s last witness, former NATO commander Wesley Clark, was concluded.The trial against the four former commanders of the so-called KLA &mdash; Hashim Tha&ccedil;i, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi &mdash; began in 2023, three years after their arrest and transfer to the custody of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, with the first-instance verdict expected in early 2026.They are charged based on individual criminal responsibility for crimes against humanity &mdash; persecution, imprisonment, other inhumane acts, torture, murder, and enforced disappearances &mdash; as well as war crimes: unlawful and arbitrary deprivation of liberty and imprisonment, cruel treatment, torture, and murder.The indictment states that the alleged crimes were committed between March 1998 and September 1999 at multiple locations in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as in Kuk&euml;s and Cahan in northern Albania.According to the charges, these acts were carried out by members of the so-called KLA against hundreds of civilians and persons not actively participating in hostilities.All four defendants have pleaded not guilty.They have been in The Hague detention since October 2020.
