Message from Russia: We will not turn our back on Serbia; "NIS is well prepared"

I just want to say that today, with the sanctions imposed, the most important thing is to approach this without heightened emotions, because it&rsquo;s not a surprise for us. The solution was adopted by the U.S. side long ago; there were delays, but in the end, this is a completely political decision, with nothing behind it concerning economics or energy. It&rsquo;s a purely political solution,&rdquo; the Russian ambassador emphasized.He reiterated that Gazprom is a reliable partner and that &ldquo;the Russian side has no intention of turning its back on Serbia in this situation.&rdquo;&ldquo;As part of our bilateral cooperation, Serbia will maintain energy security as before,&rdquo; Botsan-Kharchenko stated.He added that contacts will continue in the coming days and that &ldquo;there might even be something new.&rdquo;
