In any case, I don&rsquo;t think shortages or market alarms should be expected, even regarding Serbia&rsquo;s energy security,&rdquo; Botsan-Khrchenko told RT Balkan.According to him, there will be further contacts between the Serbian side, NIS, Gazprom, and the Russian side, as well as between the governments of the two countries.&ldquo;I wouldn&rsquo;t talk about the details or what is possible. I just want to say that today, with the sanctions imposed, the most important thing is to approach this without heightened emotions, because it&rsquo;s not a surprise for us. The solution was adopted by the U.S. side long ago; there were delays, but in the end, this is a completely political decision, with nothing behind it concerning economics or energy. It&rsquo;s a purely political solution,&rdquo; the Russian ambassador emphasized.He reiterated that Gazprom is a reliable partner and that &ldquo;the Russian side has no intention of turning its back on Serbia in this situation.&rdquo;&ldquo;As part of our bilateral cooperation, Serbia will maintain energy security as before,&rdquo; Botsan-Kharchenko stated.He added that contacts will continue in the coming days and that &ldquo;there might even be something new.&rdquo;
