RTS still blocked; Committee for Culture in session today about REM

Since Thursday morning, the students have not allowed security personnel to enter RTS buildings. The announcement of a new competition for REM Council members was requested by opposition MPs, members of the Committee for Culture and Information, and previously by students in the lockout who have been blocking RTS since April 14. The Council of REM has nine members.The mandate of REM Council members expired on November 5 of last year, and on November 23, the Parliamentary Board made a decision to call for candidates for REM Council members.In January 2025, seven candidates for REM Council members withdrew their candidacies.
