Apocalyptic scenes in Kyiv: City devastated, death toll rising PHOTO/VIDEO

The first photos from Kyiv have emerged after a Russian missile struck an area where a weapons exhibition was being held today. At least ten people were killed in the attack, and more than 100 others were injured.

The exhibition was organized at a training ground near Kyiv, along the Zhytomyr highway.

Shortly after the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media that at least six people had been killed and dozens more injured. He did not specify where the attack took place or what event was underway.

Later, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced that the death toll had risen to at least ten, with more than 100 people injured.

The Ukrainian Defence Industry Council said on social media that "an enemy missile struck a location in the Kyiv region where representatives of Ukraine's defence industry were present."

Air raid sirens sounded at around 11:20 a.m., and the Ukrainian Air Force said that Russian missiles were heading toward the capital. A few minutes later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported explosions in the city.

The attack came as Russia intensifies large-scale missile strikes on the Ukrainian capital.
