Turkish forces on the move – more than 500 vehicles heading toward Iran
Hundreds of Turkey citizens, in a convoy of more than 500 vehicles, have set off toward the Gürbulak border crossing with Iran as an expression of solidarity with the Iranian people, Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.
In Tabriz, according to reports, a gathering of Turkish media workers and civil society activists was also held, where support was expressed for Iran and its, as participants stated, resistance against the “Zionist and American enemy.”
At meetings in Iran, participants called for the creation of a “media of resistance” network that would connect Turkey and Iran.
Representatives of Turkish organizations and media said that their activities do not belong to a single country, but to a broader “front of resistance,” while describing Iran as a state that, as they put it, “stands up to great powers.”
According to their statements, the 72 Turkish citizens who entered Iran came from various cities and religious communities, and their arrival followed a period during which, as noted, a previously planned visit had been postponed due to security circumstances.
