Drama in Antalya: Shooting in government building; Attacker barricades himself, special forces surrounded him

One person entered the District Directorate of National Education, which is located in the government building in Kepez, Antalya, and opened fire randomly, after which they barricaded themselves in one of the rooms. The government building was evacuated following the sound of gunfire.

Special police and medical teams were urgently dispatched to the scene, and police units secured the area.

At this moment, it is not known if there are any injured persons.

In footage circulating on social media, armed special forces can be seen.

Authorities stated that security measures have been increased and that citizens were advised not to approach the building.

An investigation into the incident has been launched, and citizens have been warned not to go near the scene or linger in the vicinity.
